Recycling of old electrical equipment, batteries and accumulators
We take pride in being environmentally conscious, so we provide options for you to easily and freely dispose of your used electrical equipment and batteries.
Consumers play a crucial role in the battery and electrical equipment management system. They are the ones who decide what happens with old appliances and batteries. Old and unneeded electrical equipment and batteries should not be discarded as unsorted waste; on the contrary, they should be collected via special collection points, the so-called take-back points, from where they can be reused or recycled.
The symbols below must inform consumers that the electrical equipment or batteries in question do not belong in municipal waste. All new electrical equipment/batteries are marked this way. This symbol may appear directly on the electrical equipment itself, on its packaging, in the instruction manual, or on the warranty card.
Collection points
- Natural persons can use the service: BE LAZY
- Legal entities can use: collection for registered REMA partners
- Via the publicly accessible collecting network of REMA Systém, a.s. and Asekol , which is designated for the take-back of electrical equipment
- Via the publicly available collection network of REMA Battery, s.r.o. , which is designated for the take-back of batteries and accumulators
- Via a publicly available collection network, which is designated for take-back on the website of the Ministry of the Environment (ISOH 2)
- If necessary, it is possible to get advice on the free Smart Recycling line (800 976 679)
Why recycle?
Not only electrical equipment, but also batteries and accumulators, contain many recyclable metals such as zinc, iron, manganese, nickel, cadmium, or lead. At the same time, some of these substances are very dangerous for the environment and human health, especially mercury, lead, and cadmium. Selected batteries are often marked with the symbol of the chemical element they contain (Pb, Cd, Hg).
By returning batteries and electrical equipment to a collection point, we save raw primary material resources, especially by recycling materials, while also protecting our environment from inefficient disposal.
